Nahariya-A beautiful, peaceful and tranquil resort, hugging the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. A city steeped in atmosphere and romance-for people who love life.

Nahariya is the natural center of the region, thanks to its geographic location and the shards of history to be found in its many antiquities, both in the city and the surrounding settlements.

Nahariya is an ideal departure point for touring throughout the Galilee and the coastal plain. The tourist will find a plethora of historic sites and shrines from every religion and from every period of this country's illustrious past.
 
Sites & attractions

Nahariya is located at the junction of several highways, making it an ideal departure point for tours in any direction throughout the area.
Ahziv -
is just a couple of miles to the north. This is a picturesque spot, with its ancient ruins, picnic areas and perfect fishing spot. There is also a private museum with finds from the immediate area.
Akko -
7 miles south of nahariya, used to be one of the most important Mediterranean ports. Today there is a yachting marina in the Akko bay. Akko is famous for its Crusader and Turkish past. The Crusader ruins are an absolute "must" for tourists.
Rosh Hanikra -
8 miles north of Nahariya, is the northernmost point on Israel's coastline. Rosh Hanikra is famous for its beautiful grottos which you reach via cable car.
Kibbutz Lochame Hageta'ot -
The Ghetto Fighters Kibbutz - is located 4 miles south of Nahariya. It has its own Museum of the Holocaust and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Near the museum is an ancient aquaduct - built by Suliman Pasha in 1814 - which to this day brings water from the Cabri springs to Akko.
